Our Story

For five years, hundreds of runners and walkers have brightened up Blount County with the annual Glow Trot 5K. And each shining step has raised money for vital missions work in Haiti—over $34,000 so far. And now’s your chance to light up the night again in 2019!

The Course

The race will be held at William Blount High School, located at 219 County Farm Rd in Maryville (get directions). We’ll wind our way around the campus and surrounding streets and run through special “glow zones” set up for tons of extra glowtastic fun! Check out the Course Map.

How much does this cost? What is included in my registration? What should I wear to the race? What is the meaning of life?

So many burning questions! We can help… with most of them. Check out the FAQ here.

The Cause

Freedom House is home to 27 children in Croix des Bouquets, Haiti who were once restaveks (child slaves) and were living in extreme poverty. The children have a safe and loving place to live where they receive nutrition, a solid education and most importantly.... hope! All proceeds of this year’s race will go directly to the Freedom House.
